Fitness Classes for Yorkville Condo Owners
Fitness classes are a fun and motivating way to get – and stay – in shape. Group exercise has been shown to be better for your mental health than working out solo. A recent study found that people who took group exercise classes were less stressed out and reported more physical, emotional and mental health benefits than those who exercised alone or didn’t exercise at all. The social atmosphere coupled with the well-known benefits of physical activity is an added component that creates increasing health benefits for fitness enthusiasts. Group fitness classes also often include music, upbeat energy and choreography. All of these factors help to increase motivation and boost mood.
If you’re into boutique fitness classes, there are plenty of excellent options in the Yorkville neighbourhood. Read on for a compilation of our favourites.
The World’s Fastest Growing Functional Training Community
Functional training is a great way to get in shape fast. Functional training is defined as exercise that involves training the whole body for the activities performed in daily life. Translation? Engaging in functional training will make your day-to-day life easier and more pain-free. Back and joint pain will decrease or disappear, carrying groceries will be incredibly easy and you won’t bat an eye at the prospect of scaling a few flights of stairs.
Because functional training primarily targets the core muscles of the abdomen and the lower back, you’ll also end up looking as fit and shredded as you feel.
Functional training often includes gym equipment such as kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls, resistance tubes, balance discs and more.
A great option for functional training in the Bloor-Yorkville area is F45. The “F” stands for functional training. F45’s mix of circuit and HIIT style workouts are geared toward everyday movement. The “45” refers to the length of the workout – just 45 minutes of sweat-dripping, heart-pumping fun and you’re done for the day.
As explained on its website, F45 is specifically designed to provide a functional full-body workout while improving energy levels, metabolic rate, strength and endurance. The team mentality at F45 Training helps members transform their lifestyle physically and mentally while encouraging community growth and a no-ego attitude.
F45 is also one of the most time-efficient ways of training. Participants can burn up to 750 calories per 45-minute session.

Try Something a Little Bit Different
Looking to try something a little different – and highly technologically advanced? GoGo Muscle Training offers Toronto’s finest electric muscle stimulation (EMS) training facility. This zero-impact exercise allows you to gain explosive strength and to build muscle in record time. You can also improve your posture, achieve a toned body, relieve joints and balance out the muscular system with EMS training.
In EMS training, impulses are generated by a device and delivered through electrodes to the skin surface above the muscles to be stimulated. The impulses cause the muscles to contract, so the result is similar to the actual movement and regular contractions of the muscles.
GoGo offers EMS muscle training and also EMS cardio training, allowing you to build unbelievable endurance in just a few weeks with 25 minutes of training. Unlike conventional spinning classes or training which only focuses on your legs, GoGo EMS cardio training gives you full-body cardio and helps you to burn approximately 1,000 calories in just one session.
Whatever kind of fitness class you enjoy, the trendy Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood has a boutique fitness class to suit your style.

It’s been a couple months since our last update at E Condos and although it doesn’t look like we’ve moved ahead, this progress is right on schedule. In order to create a solid foundation for the building, making sure that all of the initial steps are done properly is super important, and that’s where we are now.
As you can see from these photos, we’re currently installing the shoring work so we can start digging for the underground portion of the building. In the coming months you’ll start to see a lot more action on the site as the machines start digging underground for the parking garage and pouring the concrete for the foundation.

We know you’ve heard the buzz about the demolition happening at Yonge and Eglinton, but now you can see exactly what’s going on! Our amazing construction staff has been working hard to clean up one of Toronto’s most iconic corners and transform it into what will soon be the finished product of E Condos.
With such great weather, the crew has been able to demolish the grounds into a nice, flat surface and keep the whole area nearly spotless. As you can see in the photo above, there’s nearly no excess dirt on the sidewalks in front of our site.
With demolition continuing to progress on schedule, the process is slated to be complete by the end of July. Once this process is complete, the crew will start digging the hole and beginning the process of creating the parking garage.
