Undoubtedly, access to transit is a driving factor for many when considering where to live and work. It’s no surprise that the LRT is coming to Yonge and Eglinton, one of Toronto’s most sought after neighbourhoods. Continue reading
The mild winter weather so far has really helped the pace of construction at E Condos. Both towers are well underway to redefining the Yonge and Eglinton skyline.
Toronto is an amazing city to be in over the holidays with lots of different opportunities to celebrate the season. We’ve got the Santa Claus parade in November to get us started, the many holiday markets to ease us into the season, and tons of New Year’s Eve parties to end the year in style! But as a neighbourhood on its own, Yonge and Eglinton has lots to offer in terms of holiday celebrations as well. If you’re looking to enjoy the holiday season in the area, we have some festive suggestions! Continue reading
As we enter the month of December we’re struck with one overwhelming thought: where has the time gone?! 2016 has been a big year for our on-the-go projects. Lots of changes and progress has been made on both our E Condo and 1 Yorkville sites. If you’ve walked past either in the past 365 days you can attest to the activity and great work being done. Both sites have required extensive excavation, but lots has happened since breaking ground. Continue reading
They say you learn something new everyday. Today we learned that another nickname for Yonge and Eglinton, is Yonge and Eligible, due to the soaring numbers of hip (and single) young professionals flocking to the area. Perhaps this explains the ever-expanding list of cool new spots opening up in the area. Whether you’re on the hunt for an after work drink, a spot to share a bottle with the girls, or perhaps a hip bar to take your next Tinder date to, Yonge and Eg has tons of places to wet your whistle. There’s something about that hint of Spring in the air that just makes you want to be a better person. Now that the snow has melted, and your parka has been packed away until next winter, the opportunities to get outside and explore have arisen. Why not make a healthy living pledge this Spring – there’s really no excuse not to. Especially if you live in the Yonge and Eglinton area. With plenty of juice bars, healthy eats, and places to get active, your new healthy life is just a few steps away.
2015’s coming to a close, but we’re busy as ever at E Condos, our newest high-rise at Yonge & Eglinton! The last time we updated you, we’d just completed the raft pour of the crane:
Since the crane’s been up, we’ve gotten to work on the South and North Tower. We’re thrilled with the progress we’ve made so far – check it out! Continue reading
We have so many exciting updates coming out of our bustling E Condos site at Yonge and Eglinton! Now that the crane is in and the foundation is laid, we’re all ready for the next stage – the raft pour.
In the below video, you can see our bustling site after night falls, where we’re pouring concrete to create the raft slab. Make sure you hit HD so you don’t miss a thing!
A raft slab, or raft foundation, is a style of foundation that uses steel bars to reinforce cement for a super-strong and durable base. This is one in several steps we have to take to ensure that E Condos will be safe, strong, and standing for years to come. It won’t be long until we start to develop above ground, but for now we’re not cutting any corners in ensuring our foundation is as strong as we can make it.
