BAZIS 2022: A Year in Review

As 2022 comes to a close, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on the past year and to share our progress with you. From selling out of some communities to launching a new site and building meaningful partnerships with other developers, here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished this year.

Queen Church

This year, we were proud to announce our partnership with Tridel on our highly anticipated Queen Church condos. Located at 60 Queen Street East in the heart of Toronto’s most historic district, Queen Church is designed by Rosario Varacalli and II BY IV DESIGN, and hosts leading-edge indoor and outdoor amenities that spread across 16,000 square feet.

Queen Church features a designer selection of studio, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom suites with carefully curated features and finishes chosen to complement your active, modern lifestyle.

Queen Church is in the pre-construction phase and is currently selling. Visit our Presentation Centre at 4800 Dufferin Street, Entrance B, North York, ON. Call 647-426-4638 to book an appointment today.

Bartley Towns

Last year, we sold out our Bartley Towns community in North York. Located at Eglinton Avenue and Victoria Park, Bartley Towns brings contemporary style and urban refinement to one of Toronto’s most established family communities. Bartley Towns is close to schools, libraries and parks with ample green space and walking trails, making it the perfect place for growing families. Bartley Towns is also ideally located within a neighbourhood that’s in the midst of a major commercial and residential revitalization, thanks to the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

Construction is now in full swing at Bartley Towns and is scheduled for completion in 2023. We look forward to welcoming our new homeowners!

1366 Yonge Street

This year, we introduced a new location at 1366 Yonge Street in the Deer Park neighbourhood of Toronto. We submitted a proposal for a 41-storey, Rosario Varacalli-designed mixed use development consisting of 489 units. 48% of the total units will contain 2-3 bedrooms. These larger units are designed to suit all lifestyles and families of all sizes.

1366 Yonge Street is located in midtown Toronto within walking distance of Yonge and St. Clair. This high-in-demand neighbourhood boasts all of the benefits of easy transportation, upscale addresses, and choice in dining and boutique shopping. With plenty of retail facilities available within walking distance, 1366 Yonge Street has a walk score of 92.

1366 Yonge Street will have a wide array of luxurious amenities spanning multiple floors. Buyers can expect the BAZIS amenities that our homeowners have come to know and love, including a lavish lobby, multipurpose lounge, and outdoor terrace.

750 Mt. Pleasant Road

The site for our new condo location at 750 Mt. Pleasant Road is now fully zoned for the 347,000 sq. ft., 35-storey building. Located in midtown Toronto amidst boutique shops, trendy restaurants, and vibrant neighbourhoods, 750 Mt. Pleasant Road is an ideal place to live with an incredible walk score of 97. The condo will feature just under 400 units and beautiful ground floor retail.

100 Bond Street

Our new site at 100 Bond Street is currently in the zoning stage, and is expected to be zoned by mid-2023. We’re planning to build a 30-storey mixed-use tower at 100 Bond Street, which will feature incredible amenities and a unique design that’s sure to impress. Steps away from the Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), the business district, Yonge-Dundas Square, and endless entertainment options, 100 Bond Street is an iconic address that we can’t wait to develop.

Bayview & Finch

We’re currently finalizing the zoning process for a condominium at a new location, 630 Finch Avenue East, with our partner Tridel. Located near natural ravines formed by the Don River, Bayview & Finch will be a terraced condo with an extraordinary design that’s meant to blend in with the natural landscape. With signature BAZIS amenities, the condo will feature ground retail, private terraces, and rooftop gardens.

2021 Milestones and Accomplishments: A Year in Review

What a year it has been! As 2021 comes to a close, we’d like to take a look back on the past year and all the progress we’ve made. From selling out of some new home and condo communities to launching several new sites, here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished this year.

Designed by IBI Group and GBCA Architects, 8 Wellesley will be a 50-storey tower with an expansive 5-storey podium. Located near Yorkville, the University Health Network and the University of Toronto, 8 Wellesley is redefining luxury inside and out with a Fendi-furnished lobby, state-of-the-art fitness centre, and outdoor lounge.

Minutes away from this enviable address in Yorkville, homeowners can stroll through designer boutiques on Bloor Street or explore the latest hot spots on Yorkville Avenue.

Introducing 100 Bond St.: An Iconic Address in Downtown Toronto

BAZIS’ latest condominium residence, a 30-storey mixed-use tower designed by R. Varacalli Architect, has an absolutely iconic address. Located at 100 Bond Street, just off of Yonge-Dundas Square and along the southern edge of Ryerson University’s campus, this beautiful property is centrally-located in Toronto’s Garden District, just steps away from some of downtown Toronto’s best attractions.

Let’s take a closer look at this incredible location and all of the amenities nearby, from world-renowned universities and first-class restaurants to some of the city’s best concert venues and entertainment options.

Could this be the neighbourhood of your next dream home?

Getting to Know the Garden District

Downtown Toronto’s Garden District was so named by the Toronto East Downtown Residents Association (now called the Garden District Residents Association) in recognition of Allan Gardens, an indoor botanical garden located nearby at the intersection of Carlton and Jarvis Streets. The Garden District neighbourhood is bordered by Carlton Street to the north, Yonge Street to the west, Sherbourne Street to the east, and Queen Street to the south.

This neighbourhood is incredibly vibrant, and is filled with both historic buildings – including gorgeous old Victorian homes and heritage sites including the Mackenzie House Museum, the stunning Gallery Arcturus art gallery and museum, and the Merchandise Building – and modern amenities and entertainment. It’s a very walkable neighbourhood and when it comes to downtown Toronto, it doesn’t get more central than this!

A Trendy Neighbourhood You’ll Love to Call Home

100 Bond St. is just minutes away from all that Toronto has to offer – from incredible schools and boutique shops to world-class restaurants and top-notch entertainment.

Ryerson University is just across the corner, offering impressive educational opportunities to residents and bringing a wide range of educated students from all around the world to the neighbourhood. Ryerson’s campus includes the Ryerson Image Centre, a photographic museum which is home to The Black Star Collection and the yearly Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival. It also includes the beautiful Ryerson Community Park, with its famous ice skating rink.

Stroll two blocks west and you’ll find yourself at Yonge-Dundas Square, a one-acre outdoor hub for live entertainment and the unofficial epicenter of Toronto’s downtown core. Our version of Times Square in New York City, Yonge-Dundas Square attracts visitors from across the Greater Toronto Area and around the world. You’ll love the vibrant energy that the Square offers! Living so close, you’ll have front row tickets to the wide range of activities taking place at the Square, from community celebrations and theatrical events to concerts, receptions, and promotions – events that appeal to residents and tourists alike – especially as COVID restrictions continue to ease up in the City of Toronto.

Live at the Centre of It All

This neighbourhood is also home to many boutique shops, beautiful street art, and top-rated restaurants as well as local favourites such as Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, which is just a block away from 100 Bond St.

Downtown Toronto and the Garden District are also the place to be if you enjoy live music, theatre, art and culture, and other forms of entertainment. The internationally-famous Massey Hall, Toronto’s best performing arts theatre and concert venue, is just a 5-minute walk away from 100 Bond St., and attracts many of the world’s leading celebrities, artists, and musicians. Other nearby entertainment venues include the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres for those who love a night out at the theatre, the Ed Mirvish Theatre (formerly Pantages Theatre and then the Canon Theatre) for some of the best musicals, dramas, and comedies on stage in Toronto, and Maple Leaf Gardens for the hockey fans.

Walk, Bike, and Get Around the City with Ease

When it comes to accessibility and being in the centre of it all, 100 Bond St. has nearly a perfect score. With a walk score of 99 (scored out of 100), everything you need is within reach and just a short walk away. From dropping off your dry cleaning to picking up groceries to running errands, 100 Bond St.’s central location makes everyday living a breeze.

100 Bond St. also has a perfect transit score of 100, and is classified by the City of Toronto as a Rider’s Paradise with easy access to world-class public transportation. 100 Bond St. is just a two-minute walk from the 505 Dundas streetcar at the Dundas St. East and Church St. stop. You’re also just minutes away from Line 1 of the Yonge-University subway line, the 501 Queen streetcar, and the 301 Queen. Hop on the subway or streetcar and find your way around the city with ease – and best of all, you can enjoy the commute and not have to worry about traffic.

This central address also has a bike score of 96, and has smooth connections to bike trails along the Toronto waterfront.

Looking to travel a bit further? Our new residence at 100 Bond St. is planned to include four car-share parking spaces, so you can easily access a car and jet off to Muskoka for a long weekend gathering with family, Wasaga Beach for a get-together with friends, or wherever your heart takes you.

Stay Grounded and Connected to Nature

Despite being located right downtown in the City of Toronto, 100 Bond St. is also located close to many parks, so you can get outdoors for a hike or nature walk. Beautiful, lush and verdant retreats are close to home, including Trinity Square Labyrinth, Larry Sefton Park, Joseph Sheard Parkette, Moss Park, and Allan Gardens.

And whether you enjoy daily walking or enjoy more high-energy recreational activities and sports, 100 Bond St.’s central downtown Toronto location means you’re close to all the activities you love, whether it’s playing tennis, participating in a sports league, or spending time doing water sports on Lake Ontario.

100 Bond St. is a highly-desirable address, and we’re looking forward to building a beautiful condominium here and to welcoming many new homeowners to this incredible location.
