Spring is here? Already? Feels just like yesterday when we posted our Emerald Park condos winter update. Time sure is moving quickly. So is the new construction at Emerald Park. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately.
We are currently forming the second floor completely across the entire site and it should be formed by April 15th. We plan to finish pouring the 2nd floor slabs by the end of the month.
On the west side, we are forming the mezzanine slab while we are creating the columns from the second floor to the third. These columns are about six meters in height so they can be quite a challenge.
We are also excavating around the exterior of the building so that we can waterproof the downturn of the ground floor slab. We are currently working towards having the third floor formed and poured by the end of April or at the least by the first week of May.
Underground, we are continuing with the installation of permanent lighting, connecting of sprinkler pipes and the continuation of sheet metal works.
In the later part of May, we will begin the block work in the underground therefore creating the locker rooms and the base building mechanical rooms.
