Bazis goes to the Bata Shoe Museum!
We’re lucky that there are so many attractions and shops near our soon-to-be 1 Yorkville. We’re regulars at the Royal Ontario Museum, especially for Friday Night Live, and we routinely dine at the many fabulous cafes in the area.
Founded in 1995, the Bata Shoe Museum is another one of our favourite spots in the area, and it’s perfect for Manolo Blahnik-lovers or sneaker aficionados! Continue reading
Streetcars around the world

Friday Night Live at the ROM
One of the best parts of our upcoming 1 Yorkville project is its proximity to the ROM. We could spend hours exploring the collection of diamonds and gems (we can dream we’re Elizabeth Taylor, right?), checking out the dinosaurs, and viewing the special collections, like the Mesopotamia exhibit that’s on right now. The innovative use of glass on the South Korean tower has inspired us to search for other structures that creatively use glass in their exterior.
Here’s what we found:

10 films starring remarkable architecture
Have you ever watched a movie and found yourself admiring the buildings more than the heroine? We’re guilty of this, and with Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF ) in the city for a few more days, we figured the timing was perfect for us to revisit our love for great architecture on the silver screen.
Many of these buildings are already world-famous but some are just beautifully constructed. Take a look to see if you could match the building to the movie.
