6 of the World’s Best Athletes’ Villages
You don’t have to be a sports fan to get sucked into the Olympics. We’ve been glued to our TV screens, Youtube, Twitter, and anywhere else we can catch a glimpse of the Olympics.
Because we’re so obsessed with the Olympics at the moment, we decided to take a look at what became of some Athletes’ Villages from past years. From dorms to mixed-use communities, most of the Villages continue to be used, often thanks to innovations in design and sustainability.

With Christmas behind us, we’re gearing up to bid farewell to a great 2013 and ring in the new year fabulously! If you have yet to make plans for New Year’s Eve, take a look at what’s happening in Yorkville – with its array of great restaurants and hotels, there’s bound to be something to tickle your fancy.
Holiday Windows in Yorkville
We’ve been very busy working with Santa’s elves to give away great prizes for our 12 days of Christmas giveaway, including delivering Dlish Cupcakes to Ratehub.ca and treating some to spa days at the Stillwater Spa. We’re also working with our own dream team on 1 Yorkville, and making great progress on our projects too.

Bazis goes to the Bata Shoe Museum!
We’re lucky that there are so many attractions and shops near our soon-to-be 1 Yorkville. We’re regulars at the Royal Ontario Museum, especially for Friday Night Live, and we routinely dine at the many fabulous cafes in the area.
Founded in 1995, the Bata Shoe Museum is another one of our favourite spots in the area, and it’s perfect for Manolo Blahnik-lovers or sneaker aficionados! Continue reading

Friday Night Live at the ROM
One of the best parts of our upcoming 1 Yorkville project is its proximity to the ROM. We could spend hours exploring the collection of diamonds and gems (we can dream we’re Elizabeth Taylor, right?), checking out the dinosaurs, and viewing the special collections, like the Mesopotamia exhibit that’s on right now. Friday Nights at the ROM
There’s something at the ROM for visitors of all ages including those that like to party! Every Friday night from October 18th to December 6th, the ROM hosts their Friday Night Live. DJ’s, live music, food, drinks and dancing. All in a museum. It doesn’t get any better than that! Continue reading

TIFF signifies the beginning of fall here in Toronto, and especially in Yorkville – a neighbourhood known for attracting celebrities. And who can blame them?
