Yorkville is Gearing Up for Summer!

Yorkville is at its best in the summertime. With the outdoor promenades and gorgeous storefronts and patios, it’s the best neighbourhood for an evening stroll or a glass of wine on a patio at any time of day. This summer, Yorkville will also be hosting a number of events for everyone to enjoy. Here are our top picks for the season.

5TH ANNUAL YORKVILLE EXOTIC CAR SHOW

If you haven’t been before, the Yorkville Exotic Car Show is something you must check out this summer! Some of the world’s most exclusive vehicles will be on display on Bloor Street, including Porsche’s, Ferrari’s, and Lamborghini’s. The best part about this event? It’s a great Father’s Day activity! Come down to Bloor Street on June 15 to catch the cars blaze through the neighbourhood.

One of the largest international parties is coming to Toronto this year and Yorkville will be front and centre! Weekends in Yorkville are not to be missed this summer! All of you casual Yorkville strollers will be treated to outdoor entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the Village of Yorkville Park with live music from 11:30am-2:30pm on Friday’s, and from 1:30pm-4:30pm on Saturday’s and Sunday’s. What a great way to spend an afternoon in the city!

If you want to learn more about Yorkville’s humble (hippie) beginnings, before the days of luxury, this tour is a great start! Heritage Toronto has developed a tour that centres around the Yorkville music scene of the 60s, a place where Joni Mitchell and Neil Young got their start.
