It has been a great year for the TTC with lots of new changes and announcements. Our buildings that are currently under construction are in some major transit hot-spots and any changes to the TTC will have an effect on our purchasers day-to-day lives, so we want to give you a run-down of what’s new. Do you know what izakaya means in Japanese? It translates to a casual drinking establishment that also serves food, pretty much what English-speaking people would call a gastropub. There are many izakaya restaurants all over Toronto but of all the ones we’ve been to, Yuzu Izakaya was the most surprising in terms of quality and overall feel. You might think we’re talking about a restaurant near Yorkville, or even Yonge and Eglinton, but you’d be wrong. Yuzu Izakaya is located a little bit further north at Yonge and Finch, just 10 minutes away from our own Emerald Park. Continue reading
We’ve written post after post about Bloor-Yorkville, home to two of our developments, Exhibit and 1 Yorkville. We’ve talked about the hottest spots at Yonge and Eglinton, where our E Condos development is going up. But we haven’t shared with you any of our favourite places at Yonge and Sheppard in a long time! Emerald Park residents, here’s what you can look forward to (besides the Metro and LCBO coming to the building): Continue reading
Yonge and Sheppard Grocery Stores: Whole Foods Coming!
It’s not like we need to give you another reason to love Yonge and Sheppard, but we figure if you got it, flaunt it and that’s exactly what we’re going to do. Along with the awesome retailers coming to Emerald Park, like Metro and LCBO, our neighbourhood will be home to a Whole Foods Market in the very near future. With only one other location in Toronto, which is located in the heart of Yorkville, Whole Foods Market is an exclusive amenity that very few neighbourhoods in Canada get to emjoy.
If you’re not familiar with the Whole Foods Market philosophy, you’ll be glad to know that they are a company that focuses on catering to people with healthy lifestyles. They even have a list of unacceptable ingredients and they won’t carry foods that contain them. We’re looking at you, Aspartame. They also have a guideline of values around issues like animal cruelty, shopping local and their involvement in the community. They’ve already lived up to their community guildelines by partnering the the North York Harvest Food Bank to help meet the needs of their neighbours.
Whole Foods Market at Yonge and Sheppard will officially open on September 23 with a kick-off event beginning at 8:00AM. If you live in the area or will soon be moving into Emerald Park, come out and get acquainted with your neighbourhood and soon-to-be neighbours!
New Construction in Toronto: Emerald Park Condos
If you’re one of the lucky people that will be living at Emerald Park one day (soon!), this will be your view from the top. We took a trip to Yonge and Sheppard to explore what’s going on and we got a special glimpse at downtown Toronto from the 32nd floor. Luckily it was a clear day and we got a great view of the city, but we also got a first-hand view of what’s going on in the building. Let’s take a look. Continue reading
We love all buildings – whether they’re tall skyscrapers or they push the limits of design, we love ’em all. Now, imagine a beautiful building, only duplicated. That’s exactly what twin towers are – two beautiful buildings side by side! This week on the blog we take a look at some of the world’s most beautiful pairs of buildings.
We payed Emerald Park a visit last week and we’re so excited about the progress. We finally have real views from the top floors, along with a first look at the pool and views from the amenities centre! Read on for information and photos about what’s going on at Yonge and Sheppard. Continue reading

Big news! We’ve got an update on the retail spaces and amenities at Emerald Park, our project at Yonge and Sheppard. Residents of the Rosario Varacalli-designed building will have access to an LCBO, Metro and a Starbucks – in addition to a full food-court! There’s still room for more businesses, so we’ll keep you posted on that, but let’s get back to what we have so far.
Like many construction sites across the city, we too have been affected by the extreme cold weather conditions and this has led to some construction delays. Continue reading
