It’s not like we need to give you another reason to love Yonge and Sheppard, but we figure if you got it, flaunt it and that’s exactly what we’re going to do. Along with the awesome retailers coming to Emerald Park, like Metro and LCBO, our neighbourhood will be home to a Whole Foods Market in the very near future. With only one other location in Toronto, which is located in the heart of Yorkville, Whole Foods Market is an exclusive amenity that very few neighbourhoods in Canada get to enjoy.
If you’re not familiar with the Whole Foods Market philosophy, you’ll be glad to know that they are a company that focuses on catering to people with healthy lifestyles. They even have a list of unacceptable ingredients and they won’t carry foods that contain them. We’re looking at you, Aspartame. They also have a guideline of values around issues like animal cruelty, shopping local and their involvement in the community. They’ve already lived up to their community guidelines by partnering the North York Harvest Food Bank to help meet the needs of their neighbours.
Whole Foods Market at Yonge and Sheppard will officially open on September 23 with a kick-off event beginning at 8:00 AM. If you live in the area or will soon be moving into Emerald Park, come out and get acquainted with your neighbourhood and soon-to-be neighbours!
