Living in a condo has many perks – cool amenities, 24/7 concierge, and our personal favourite: no shovelling! It has come to our attention however, that some people feel like they’re missing out on decorating their homes as they may get to with a house. And to that, we say … hogwash! We totally believe that you can fulfill many, if not all, of your decorating and styling dreams while living in a condo.
Here’s some ways you can maximize style in your condo:
1/Artwork – hanging the right artwork in the right place can change an entire room. Some of us enjoy painting and wallpapering, but many don’t. It’s a tedious effort when you constantly want to change up your home to fit in with the weather, or your mood! That’s where artwork comes in. Buying a really big wall piece or a few pieces to cover a wall can work magic and complement whatever you’re feeling at the time. And it doesn’t have to be fancy pieces. Think fun prints from Etsy or support your favourite local artist!

2/Accent pieces – similar to hanging art to bring out the character in a room, turn to accent pieces to seal the deal. A vase, a beautiful clock, some antique finds from the local flea market … all of these can turn a room from blah to wow. Again, no need to think of anything too fancy if it’s not in your budget – the local thrift shop and flea market always have an array of one-of-a-kind gems!
3/Flowers – make it your a part of your weekly grocery list to stop by a florist and pick up some beautiful flowers. Think tulips or lilies in the spring/summer, dahlias in the fall and some amaryllis for the winter. Floral centerpieces on your dining room table, at your bedside or really anywhere, adds just the right amount of colour and fun to your room. Plus, you can grab new flowers quite often, which means the ambience in your room can change whenever you want it to!
