Amazing Work Spaces from Around the World

September 25th, 2014

If you think about it, it makes sense to design work spaces with cool gadgets and amenities. After all, you are spending one third of your time there – for some of us even more. This week on the blog, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite work spaces that will have you green with envy!

Google, Toronto

Rooftop minigolf, TV-fireplace, juicer bikes, a jamming room and free food? Sounds like the perfect work space to us! Google’s Toronto HQ truly has it all, and it’s housed on the 12th floor of a building in the heart of the city. Wonder what the neighbours below think when someone’s blasting the tuba?

Hootsuite, Vancouver

This office is in a bulletproof location – and we mean that literally because it’s housed in an old police station! The 33,000 sq. foot office also has a nap room and a 24-hour gym. There’s also 47 TVs all around the office with – you guessed it – realtime HootFeeds! They also recently opened a second location in the city, and it’s just as cool as the original.

Corus Entertainment, Toronto

This office has a slide. Yes, a giant three story slide that takes you from the foyer to the atrium. It’s right on the lakefront and houses 11 Toronto-based operations which includes 24 tv services, 3 radio stations and over 1,100 employees.

AirBnB, San Francisco

AirBnB’s 170,000 square foot headquarters in San Francisco has a massive three-floor living green wall, an open space/lounge where creatives can work or just hang out, and individual office spaces which are made up of actual home listing replicas!

Inventionland, Pittsburgh

We truly saved the best for last. With a name like Inventionland, you should expect the office to be something extraordinary. And it is – the office where dreams come true looks like it’s straight out of a storybook. There’s the Pirate Ship Discovery which is a ship wrecked in the water where high-tech products and games are invented. Then there’s a giant shoe called the Nursery Nook where children’s products like toys and books are made. Go take a virtual tour, our descriptions don’t do it any justice!
