If you live in the Yonge and Eglinton area – you’re in for a treat! Summerlicious is here again, gathering over 220 restaurants together to serve Torontonians some of their best dishes. The two week event begins July 8th and runs until July 24th, and will be located at various areas in the GTA. There will be both lunch and dinner services available at prix fixe prices. So grab a friend and head to a restaurant you’ve never heard of, and eat as much food as you can!
Capocaccia
Have you ever visited Italy? Located just a bit south of Yonge and Eglinton, Capocaccia takes you right there with their Italian cuisine. The restaurant itself has a cozy, yet romantic atmosphere that you will want to try out on your next date. Capocaccia will be serving Mozzarella Di Bufala Salad, Fusilli Pasta, Pizza E Patata, and Cardinale Pizza as part of Summerlicious this year – lunch will be $23 and dinner is $38.
Cibo Wine Bar
Cibo Wine Bar is a Toronto favourite, with other locations in Miami and Florida. Now with three locations in Toronto, Cibo Wine Bar is the biggest Italian restaurant in the Yonge and Eglinton area. Walking into the restaurant you will see an impressive wine rack and wood walls, and you can go to Cibo Wine bar for a casual drink with friends or a romantic evening in their more private seating area. Lunch will be $18 and dinner will be $28 this year, with some of the dishes being Polenta Fries, Cannelloni, Salmon, and Ravioli.
North 44
North 44 will be another restaurant participating in this year’s event! Did you know, North 44’s name derives from the city’s latitude? North 44 will be serving Contemporary, French and International cuisine for dinner ($48). North 44 restaurant is located on 2537 Yonge St. It is a phenomenal place to bring a date to, perfect for romantic dinners! Just some of the foods you will be able to eat at North 44 are Mahi Mahi, Ricotta Ravioli, and PEI Mussels.
Frida Restaurant and Bar
Known as one of Toronto’s top 100 restaurants by Joanne Kates, Frida Restaurant and Bar will also be another participant in this year’s Summerlicious! They will be serving Mexican-styled lunch ($23) and dinner ($38). Some of the dishes you should definitely try out are the Enchiladas Rojas de Carne, Chilaquiles de Pollo, Tostada de Pozole Seco, and Cold Avocado Soup!
It doesn’t matter what you’re craving, Summerlicious will have it all at this year’s event. From Canadian to Mexican or Italian food, you will not leave unsatisfied! Make sure you book a reservation ASAP so you don’t miss the chance to check them out.!
