The Eglinton Square Mall Redevelopment, located directly southeast of the future O’Connor LRT station at Eglinton and Victoria Park, would retain the existing mall in its entirety, while densifying the lands surrounding it.

The Eglinton Square Redevelopment joins a rapidly transforming Golden Mile neighbourhood, and is one of many active redevelopments that will add thousands of new residents to the area.

All of this is being developed in conjunction with the City’s Golden Mile Secondary Plan, which would promote density and urbanization along the stretch of Eglinton from Victoria Park to Birchmount, containing five future LRT stations within its boundaries.

With the new Crosstown LRT opening in 2021, Toronto City Council unanimously passed the Golden Mile Secondary Plan that will guide the redevelopment of many parcels of land along the Crosstown route on Eglinton Avenue East between Victoria Park Road and Birchmount Road.

In September, 2020 Choice Properties REIT (CP REIT) submitted a revised Official Plan Amendment (OPA) application for one of the sites in the area, a proposed mixed-use redevelopment of the Golden Mile Shopping Centre at Eglinton and Victoria Park.

The project includes ten new residential towers, retail and office space.

INSPIRING YOUNG MINDS

Eglinton & Victoria Park is one of Toronto’s most sought-after neighbourhoods for urban families. As a long-established community, it has no shortage of options for nearby public and private education, including the prestigious Seneca Hill Private School and French-language École Élémentaire Jeanne-Lajoie, both less than 10 minutes a way.
