New Years Eve in Toronto. Goodbye 2017!

December 21st, 2017

Ring in 2018 with one of Toronto’s many New Year’s Eve parties.  With so many events to choose from, we take a look at some of the more unique parties across the city.

No One Writes to the Colonel, Snow Ball 2018

If you escaped the upside-down and are running from the Demogorgon, hide at the ‘Stranger Things’ 2018 New Year’s Eve Party.  The venue ‘No One Writes To the Colonel’ will transform into a winter wonderland as you spend the evening mingling, lounging, or dancing the night away, with music from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. A semi-formal/formal dress code is in effect for the evening.  Must be at least 19 years of age to attend, doors open at 10 PM.

Nathan Phillips Square

Join people from across Ontario for Toronto’s long-running New Years at Nathan Phillips Square. The final send-off to 2017 begins at 8 p.m. to summarizing a year-long celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday. This year’s event features a pulse-pounding evening, with live music, animations, and a DJ’d skating party sponsored by Tim Horton’s.  Top it all off with a stunning fireworks display at midnight! Admission is FREE at this alcohol-free event. A full schedule of events is available here.

Across from Exhibit and returning to the ROM

For the second year its #ROMNYE! Listen to the hottest bands & DJs while enjoying a sampling of delicious hors-d’oeuvre and a complimentary toast at midnight! Raise your glasses to this exclusive NYE experience, while making reservations in the ROM’s stylish c5 Lounge.

Hemingway’s Silent Disco

New Year’s too loud? Try this: at Hemingway’s in Yorkville comes a new twist on New Years that’s easy on the ears.  Celebrate on the Rooftop Patio and choose your own music.  Find your musical mates by the colour of their Bluetooth headsets to groove together, and turn down the volume to talk to friends. No more shouting over the music. A must try!

There are a lot of events happening this New Years Eve, and Toronto is the place to be.  Say so long to 2017 and let’s welcome 2018 with open arms.
