Saying Goodbye to 2014 at E Condos

What can we say? 2014 has been an awesome year for us at E Condos. With so much happening at Yonge and Eglinton and our project making its way into demolition and construction, we can easily say that 2014 has been our best year yet! We wanted to check in with the E Condos team for one last time this year and see what’s going on at the site. Read on for the details. Continue reading

The Latest from the TTC

It has been a great year for the TTC with lots of new changes and announcements. Our buildings that are currently under construction are in some major transit hot-spots and any changes to the TTC will have an effect on our purchasers day-to-day lives, so we want to give you a run-down of what’s new. Update at the Eglinton Crosstown LRT

It’s been a while since we updated you with the progress of Eglinton’s newest transit route, the Eglinton LRT, and we just want to tell you that a lot has happened since our last look at it. You may have heard rumblings about the traffic backups in the area, especially during rush hour,  but as they say, “no pain, no gain.” Continue reading

October Preparations at E Condos

It’s been a couple months since our last update at E Condos and although it doesn’t look like we’ve moved ahead, this progress is right on schedule. In order to create a solid foundation for the building, making sure that all of the initial steps are done properly is super important, and that’s where we are now.

As you can see from these photos, we’re currently installing the shoring work so we can start digging for the underground portion of the building. In the coming months you’ll start to see a lot more action on the site as the machines start digging underground for the parking garage and pouring the concrete for the foundation.

Toronto’s Luxury E Condos

It’s hard to pick our absolute favourite neighbourhood in the city because we’re a part of so many, but Yonge and Eglinton is quickly climbing its way to the top. Since we started demolition, we’ve seen a huge transformation in the area and not just on our site. Across the street the Yonge Eglinton Centre is changing before our eyes and we’re so excited to see the finished product, but until then we’ll keep you updated on what’s happening at E Condos.

We started our shoring program last week which will begin the foundation of the building and support the vertical growth when it begins.

As you can see, all the machinery is in place for the shoring process along with the materials like cement and steel framing.

Once the shoring process is complete, we plan to begin excavation and digging to create the parking garage below.

New Construction in Toronto: E Condos

We love our construction updates, even if it appears that there isn’t too much going on. This may look like an empty space to you, but to us it looks like progress! We’ve completed phase one of demolition and we’re ready to tackle the next steps in creating our Yonge and Eglinton development, E Condos. Continue reading

E Condos Progress at Yonge and Eglinton

If you haven’t been to our new corner in a few months, expect some big changes next time you head to Yonge and Eglinton. Our demolition is complete and the corner that was once a low-rise plaza is now our home, and we’re just getting started!

We currently are at the boring stage of the project, and no, we’re not referring to the least exciting stage. The boring machine is digging down and removing the perimeter basement walls of the demolished buildings. This stage of work is a slow process, and we’ve worked hard to develop engineered procedures that will ensure that we do not to affect the structural integrity of the adjacent buildings.

Although it’s a slow process, we’re progressing every day and this stage looks to be moving ahead on schedule as of now. If all goes to plan, we look to complete this work at within the next couple of weeks. photo 04
