One of our favourite areas in the city has got to be Yorkville. With a few of our own developments nearby, we’re happy to be a part of this neighbourhood that, like many other parts of Toronto, is rich with history. We dove back into the city archives to take a look at how things have changed over the years.
We’re finally underway at our Yorkville site, getting to work on One Yorkville. There’s still a lot to get done, but it’s great to have shovels in the ground! Here are a few snaps of our site via Urban Toronto:
Pretty hard to believe this will one day be 54 stories of homes and amenities, right? We can’t wait!
If you’ve been to Yorkville lately, you’ve probably seen that we’re making progress on one of our most anticipated and luxurious communities – One Yorkville!
This statuesque tower will one day be home to world-class amenities, two roof decks, a stunning sculptural facade and a location minutes from world-class shopping on Bloor St. and the TTC to take you anywhere. Plus, the original storefronts will remain intact! For now, though, we’re going into 2016 with a clean slate. Check out these snapshots from the last day of demolition:

Summerlicious is here, and there’s destination dining close to lots of our newest buildings! We’ve already given you the skinny on where to eat at Yonge & Eg and Yonge & Sheppard – now we’re heading a few notches south to Yorkville. Read on for our favourite picks in one of the Toronto’s most delicious neighbourhoods.
This Yorkville staple is obviously on our list. Serving French-inspired Canadian cuisine, you’ll notice an emphasis on delicious, local ingredients. The menu showcases lots of amazing Ontario produce, and there’s no better time to dig in than in the middle of summer. Try braised rabbit or cornish hen as your main – and definitely get the Ontario cheese plate to finish. See the whole menu here.
If you’re looking for a date night option, Blu’s romantic atmosphere and warm, comforting Italian dishes are exactly what you need. Their Summerlicious menu steers clear of pizza and pasta, focusing instead on interesting proteins like beef cheek, and duck terrine. It might not be traditional, but we’d definitely round out a meal at Blu with their lime and coconut cannoli. See the whole menu here.
Thinking outside the Italian box? Mideastro fuses, you guessed it, mediterranean and bistro fare for unique plates every time. Their Summerlicious menu has traditional options like Tagine, alongside nontraditional items like Miami short ribs. See the whole menu here.
This French fusion spot has one of the most interesting and comprehensive Summerlicious menus we’ve seen, and those who frequent Creme Brasserie all year round know that everything is always executed to the highest standards. Go all in with the escargot to start, pick any of the mains, and finish with a peach-and-pear banana split, because, why not? See the whole menu here.
If you’ve never been to this lushly decorated spot, now’s your chance! A hearty, more traditional menu is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, and the stained glass ceiling and amazing ambiance will make your visit feel really special. See the whole menu here.

We’re proud of One Yorkville for a lot of reasons. Aside from our prime location and beautiful architecture, we’re also proud to offer one of the most comprehensive amenities packages out there. Our concierge service is unparallelled, both in the range of services we offer and the quality of our discrete, capable staff.
Any service provided by a hotel concierge will be available right in the lobby of One Yorkville. We’ll book tickets to the theatre, concerts and sporting events. We’ll co-ordinate wash-and-fold laundry service and dry cleaning, so all you have to do is drop off and pick up. Vacation coming up? We’ll book your travel tickets and co-ordinate transport to and from the airport or station – and you’ll look amazing from the state-of-the-art gym and on-site personal trainers available whenever you are.
Of course, this isn’t a hotel, it’s your home – so we had to go above and beyond. We also offer:
- Grocery shopping and delivery
- Floral delivery from top-notch Yorkville florists
- Walking, grooming and training services for your pets
- Translation services for those doing business or with ties overseas
- Interior design consultations & implementation
- Relocation assistance and booking movers (before you’ve even arrived!)
- Gifting services – send flowers, chocolates and gifts to anyone
All this, and more, is available to you 24/7. We like to think of ourselves less like concierges, and more like personal assistants, willing to go above and beyond the above services to help make your home and life a better place. No ask is too big or too small – that’s what we’re here for!
How comprehensive are our services? Well, take a look at the map below – this is everywhere you’d have to go to accomplish just some of what our dedicated staff are trained to do:
As you can see, we’re not only dedicated to providing top-quality service, but saving you time and energy better put toward other things. Can you imagine an everyday life not filled with chores, errands and loose ends? We can.

As we’ve told you before, Yorkville is Toronto’s artistic and cultural hub. With Exhibit and now 1 Yorkville, we have become a part of this fantastic neighbourhood and the many events that take place here. Next week, on November 5, one of our favourite events series is taking place right around the corner from Exhibit. If you haven’t been to a Salon West event to take in Toronto’s culture, we suggest you start ASAP!
In their own words, Salon West is “an accessible social space for much-needed dialogue on arts and culture in Toronto.” Their main goal is to unite and grow the arts and culture community, and there’s no better way to do that than throwing awesome events. Every month, Salon West gathers to discuss what’s going on in our city’s arts community and next month will continue that tradition. There is one major difference next month though. November’s edition of Salon West will feature a chamber music performance by Pocket Concerts.
November’s event is at the Dignam Gallery of the Women’s Art Association of Canada, which is just 5 minutes away from St. George station. The concert, led by Emily Rho on the piano and Rory McLeod on the viola, will be the first of its kind for Salon West and will be a great introduction into the discussions to follow. Be prepared to come chat about how different venues shape the experience of a performer, and how a venue can bring a vision to life. Special guests include Lawrence Cherney the Artistic Director of Soundstreams, Isolde Pleasants-Faulkner a Stage Manager who has worked with everyone from the COC to the National Ballet of Canada, and Rory McLeod a violist and Artistic Director of Pocket Concerts.
Are you interested in checking out November’s Salon West? You can get your tickets on their website.
