Winterlicious 2015: Where To Dine Around Yonge & Eglinton

January 22nd, 2016

It’s back for another delicious year, and we couldn’t be more excited to get out and explore some of the amazing local restaurants around our active communities. Whether you’re headed out for a weekend lunch or a special dinner, below are some of our favourite options around the E Condos site.

1. Union Social Eatery

This relaxed but upscale destination is a great place to go with a laid-back group or with a family – their approachable menu is great for everyone, and compliments their extensive selection of wine, draft beer and delicious cocktails. If you want to get out and enjoy Winterlicious, but aren’t up for a fine dining experience, this is the spot for you. They also recently celebrated a 2 year anniversary in the area, and we see a long and happy future at their location in Midtown. See their menu here.  (image via unionsocial.ca)

2. Copacabana Steakhouse

If you’re dining with a meat lover, a Brazilian steakhouse is a must-visit. Half buffet, half grillhouse, it’s a dining experience unlike any other. First, you’ll choose salads and sides from a buffet-style bar. When you sit, waiters with freshly-skewered, grilled-to-perfection meats carve slices off enormous stakes right onto your plate, tableside. There are 16 varieties on order during Winterlicious – check them all out here. Light eating it’s not, but you’ll definitely leave satisfied.  One of 4 Copacabana locations in Ontario.

3. Cibo Winebar

One of Toronto’s 3 locations, this enormous space is now Midtown’s biggest Italian destination. Famous for their enormous wine selection, this location even has an incredible 2-storey wine cellar which staff scale on a wire harness to fetch orders. It’s a sight to be seen, and the food is delicious. If you’re looking for a modern take on Italian, Cibo is it. See the menu here.

4. Quince

This modern Mediterranean spot is the perfect destination for those in search of lighter fare that’s still inventive and fresh.  Casual but memorable, the fare here is also local and sustainable whenever possible. The dinner menu also boasts five options per course, more than most other Winterlicious options, so you’ll find something for everyone and lots to sample. Check out the menu here.
