Summerlicious 2015: Where To Eat In Yorkville

June 25th, 2015

Summerlicious is here, and there’s destination dining close to lots of our newest buildings! We’ve already given you the skinny on where to eat at Yonge & Eg and Yonge & Sheppard – now we’re heading a few notches south to Yorkville. Read on for our favourite picks in one of the Toronto’s most delicious neighbourhoods.

Sassafraz

This Yorkville staple is obviously on our list. Serving French-inspired Canadian cuisine, you’ll notice an emphasis on delicious, local ingredients. The menu showcases lots of amazing Ontario produce, and there’s no better time to dig in than in the middle of summer. Try braised rabbit or cornish hen as your main – and definitely get the Ontario cheese plate to finish. See the whole menu here.

Blu Restorante

If you’re looking for a date night option, Blu’s romantic atmosphere and warm, comforting Italian dishes are exactly what you need. Their Summerlicious menu steers clear of pizza and pasta, focusing instead on interesting proteins like beef cheek, and duck terrine. It might not be traditional, but we’d definitely round out a meal at Blu with their lime and coconut cannoli. See the whole menu.

Mideastro Yorkville

Thinking outside the Italian box? Mideastro fuses, you guessed it, mediterranean and bistro fare for unique plates every time. Their Summerlicious menu has traditional options like Tagine, alongside nontraditional items like Miami short ribs. See the whole menu here.

Crème Brasserie

This French fusion spot has one of the most interesting and comprehensive Summerlicious menus we’ve seen, and those who frequent Creme Brasserie all year round know that everything is always executed to the highest standards. Go all in with the escargot to start, pick any of the mains, and finish with a peach-and-pear banana split, because, why not? See the whole menu here.

La Société

La-Societe--Dining-Room

If you’ve never been to this lushly decorated spot, now’s your chance! A hearty, more traditional menu is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, and the stained glass ceiling and amazing ambiance will make your visit feel really special. See the whole menu here.
