If you’ve been around Yorkville, you’ve probably noticed that we’re making progress on our latest project: 1 Yorkville. It’s hard to believe that soon this site will be home to our beautiful tower featuring 58 floors of luxury residences and amenities – including a stunning rooftop lounge, fitness studio, spa amenities, and much more! It’s also conveniently located near world-class shopping and steps away from the subway to connect you to the rest of Toronto.
See how things have been progressing on site:
Heritage stabilization was completed in the autumn to help preserve the heritage buildings that will remain along Yonge Street just south of Yorkville Avenue – pictured above. These historical beauties will be preserved to all their glory and line the base of 1 Yorkville. Since then, we continued with demolition of the site leading up the holidays.
We’re currently working on drilling for the caisson wall and that’s what you can see happening in the photo above. This is the wall that will help to provide support during the excavation stages of construction. Naturally, once this is completed then we’ll proceed with excavation and tie backs.
